A resident of Allen, Texas, tenor Tim Cahill is a graduate of the prestigious Indiana University School of Music, receiving both his master's and bachelor's degrees in Vocal Performance. While at IU, Tim received music and academic accolades including a 4.0 GPA, Dean's List recognition, School of Music Dean’s Scholarship, and the Mavis McRae Crow Music Scholarship.  Performing credits as a baritone while at Indiana University include the roles of Adam in Haydn’s Die Schöpfung, Bogdanovitch in Lehár’s The Merry Widow, Nireno in Handel’s Giulio Cesare, numerous workshop scenes, choral solos, and opera choruses.  Tim was also a participant in the Charley Creek Vocal Workshop in Wabash, Indiana directed by his former teacher, world-renown baritone Timothy Noble.

Tim was born in West Islip, New York and moved to Plano, Texas at the age of 7.  He attended Plano Schools and was a 1999 graduate of Plano East Senior High.  Tim began his vocal studies at the age of 15 with JoAnn Clowe.  He received countless awards, most notably as a 3-year member of the Texas All-State Mixed Choir and membership into the Plano East Hall of Fame.

Upon completion of his degrees at Indiana University, Tim began the switch to the tenor repertoire and made his professional tenor debut with The Living Opera in Richardson, Texas as Don Basilio & Don Curzio in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro.  This past December, Tim was a guest soloist at the Bethesda Community Church’s 30th Anniversary Christmas Celebration in Fort Worth, Texas.  Equally comfortable singing standards and Broadway repertoire, Tim continues to expand his learning and love of music.  He currently studies with Stephen Austin, Ph.D., a professor of music at the University of North Texas.

Most recently, Tim created the role of Don Pedro de Azagra to much critical acclaim in the world-premiere musical, The Lovers, a Mark-Brian Sonna Production.
